How should I take Cialis (tadalafil)?

Take Cialis as directed by your doctor or the pharmacist at your local pharmacy. There are two ways to take this medicine. You can take it on an as-needed basis or daily. Your doctor will help you decide which dosing schedule is right for you. 

 If you are taking Cialis on an as-needed basis, take the tablet orally (by mouth) with water 30 minutes to 2 hours before planned sexual intercourse. Do not take Cialis more than once in 24 hours. You can take the medicine with or without food. 

 If you are taking Cialis daily, take your medicine at around the same time every day. 

 Follow the directions on your Cialis prescription label for the correct dose and frequency. Do not take more medication or take it more frequently than prescribed. 

Missed dose: If you take Cialis as needed before sex and forget to take it, you can take it as soon as you remember. However, the medicine will take 30 minutes to 2 hours to kick in. If you take Cialis daily and forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose as scheduled. Do not take more than one dose of Cialis in 24 hours.

Storage: Store Cialis at room temperature (between 15-30° C or 59-86° F) in a dry place away from moisture, heat, and direct light in a tightly closed container. Keep all prescription drugs out of reach of children and pets.

Unused medicine: Throw away any expired or unneeded Cialis. You should dispose of the medicine so that children, pets, and others cannot consume the tablets. Do not flush the tablets down the toilet.
