How should I use Jornay?

Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Take this medicine in the evening. Do not crush, cut, or chew this medicine. You can take this medicine with or without food. However, you should always take it the same way. Take your medicine at regular intervals. Do not take it more often than directed. Do not stop taking except on your doctor''s advice.

If you have difficulty swallowing, the capsule may be opened and the contents gently sprinkled on a small amount of applesauce. The contents of the capsule should not be crushed or chewed. Be sure to swallow all of the applesauce and medicine mixture right away. Do not store for future use.
A special MedGuide will be given to you by the pharmacist with each prescription and refill. Be sure to read this information carefully each time.
Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. While this drug may be prescribed for children as young as 6 years for selected conditions, precautions do apply.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of Jornay contact a poison control center or emergency room at once. NOTE: Jornay is only for you. Do not share Jornay with others.

What if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
