Alphagan P Tips from Pharmacists

• To prevent contamination and eye infections, make sure you wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before using Alphagan P.

• Do not touch the dropper tip to your eye, finger, face, or any other surface. Replace the dropper in the bottle immediately after use. Do not wipe or rinse it.

• Wait at least 5 minutes between the use of Alphagan P and other eye medications.

• Remove contact lenses before instilling Alphagan P and wait 15 minutes before putting them back in. This eye drop contains a preservative that can cause discoloration of soft contact lenses.

• Alphagan P can make you drowsy and cause blurry vision. Do not drive or perform other potentially dangerous activities until you can see clearly and are fully alert.

• Continue treatment with Alphagan P even if you feel well and don’t have any eye symptoms. You cannot tell that the pressure in the eye is high based on symptoms alone. Your doctor will monitor intraocular pressure (IOP) with eye tests.
