What may interact with Psyllium?

Interactions are not expected. Take this product at least 2 hours before or after other medicines.

What should I tell my health care provider before I take Psyllium?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

-blockage in your bowel
-difficulty swallowing
-inflammatory bowel disease
-phenylketonuria
-stomach or intestine problems
-sudden change in bowel habits lasting more than 2 weeks
-an unusual or allergic reaction to psyllium, other medicines, dyes, or preservatives
-pregnant or trying or get pregnant
-breast-feeding

What should I watch for while using Psyllium?


Check with your doctor or health care professional if your symptoms do not start to get better or if they get worse.



Stop using this medicine and contact your doctor or health care professional if you have rectal bleeding or if you have to treat your constipation for more than 1 week. These could be signs of a more serious condition.



Drink several glasses of water a day while you are taking this medicine. This will help to relieve constipation and prevent dehydration.

Where should I keep my medicine?

Keep out of the reach of children.

Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F). Protect from moisture. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.
