What are Toprol XL (metoprolol succinate) side effects?

• Swelling in the hands, lower legs, ankles, or feet
• Fast, irregular, or pounding heartbeat
• Shortness of breath or wheezing
• Fainting
• Rapid weight gain

Symptoms of Toprol XL overdose can include dizziness, difficulty breathing, fainting, or swelling of the hands and feet.
