What should I tell my health care provider before I take Nilandron?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

-diabetes
-liver disease
-lung disease
-an unusual or allergic reaction to nilutamide, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives
-pregnant or trying to get pregnant
-breast-feeding

What should I watch for while using Nilandron?

Visit your doctor or health care provider for regular checks on your progress. Tell your doctor or healthcare provider if your symptoms do not start to get better or if they get worse.

This medicine may affect your vision. Your eyes may have trouble adjusting from light to dark. Be careful driving at night or through tunnels. Wearing tinted glasses may help.

Drinking alcohol with this medicine may cause facial flushing, low blood pressure, and tiredness. Avoid alcoholic drinks if you have such effects.

This medicine may increase blood sugar. Ask your healthcare provider if changes in diet or medicines are needed if you have diabetes.

Where should I keep my medicine?

Keep out of the reach of children.

Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F). Protect from light. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.
