How should I use Sodium Fluoride?

This medicine is applied to the teeth. Follow these instructions unless otherwise instructed by your dental professional: After brushing thoroughly with toothpaste, rinse as usual. Apply a thin ribbon of gel to the teeth with a toothbrush or mouth tray. Do this once daily for at least one minute, preferably at bedtime. After using, adults should spit out the gel and should not eat, drink or rinse for 30 minutes for best results. Do not swallow the gel.

Talk to your pediatrician or dental professional regarding the use of this medicine in children. This gel has been used in children as young as 6 years of age, however, precautions do apply. Children of 6 to 16 years of age should spit the gel out after use and rinse the mouth thoroughly.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of Sodium Fluoride contact a poison control center or emergency room at once. NOTE: Sodium Fluoride is only for you. Do not share Sodium Fluoride with others.

What if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
