-medicines that suppress your immune function like adalimumab, anakinra, infliximab, rilonacept
-medicines to treat cancer
-steroid medicines like prednisone or cortisone

What should I tell my health care provider before I take Vaxelis?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

-immune system problems
-infection with fever
-neurologic disease
-seizure disorder
-take medicines that treat or prevent blood clots
-an unusual or allergic reaction to vaccines, other medicines, albumin, neomycin, polymyxin B, polysorbate 80, yeast, foods, dyes, or preservatives
-pregnant or trying to get pregnant
-breast-feeding

What should I watch for while using Vaxelis?

Visit your doctor for regular check-ups as directed. Contact your doctor or health care professional and get emergency medical care if any serious side effects occur.
This vaccine, like all vaccines, may not fully protect everyone.

Where should I keep my medicine?

This medicine is given in a hospital or clinic and will not be stored at home.
