Bisoprolol and Hydrochlorothiazide Tips from Pharmacists

  • Measure your own blood pressure at home, keep a log, and bring it to your doctors’ appointments.

  • Keep all your medical appointments during treatment. Your doctor may want to adjust your dose. They will also monitor you for side effects and order laboratory tests.

  • Take bisoprolol and hydrochlorothiazide in the morning or afternoon to avoid getting up in the middle of the night to urinate.

  • This medication can make you dizzy. Avoiding driving or other hazardous activities until you know how it affects you.

  • Bisoprolol and hydrochlorothiazide can cause lightheadedness when arising from a sitting or lying position. Get up slowly out of bed to avoid falls.
