What may interact with CLENPIQ?

Do not take this medicine with any of the following medications:

-alcohol
-other laxatives

This medicine may also interact with the following medications:

-certain antibiotics, like ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin or tetracycline
-certain medicines for blood pressure, heart disease, irregular heart beat
-chlorpromazine
-certain medicines for depression, anxiety, or psychotic disorders
-certain medicines for diabetes
-certain medicines for seizures
-diuretics
-iron supplements
-NSAIDS, medicines for pain and inflammation, like ibuprofen or naproxen
-penicillamine
-steroid medicines like prednisone or cortisone
-theophylline or aminophylline
-tramadol

What should I tell my health care provider before I take CLENPIQ?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

-dehydration
-difficulty swallowing
-heart disease
-high or low levels of calcium, magnesium, potassium, or sodium in the blood
-history of irregular heartbeat
-kidney disease
-seizures
-stomach or intestine problems
-an unusual or allergic reaction to sodium picosulfate; magnesium oxide; anhydrous citric acid, other medicines, dyes, or preservatives
-pregnant or trying to get pregnant
-breast-feeding

What should I watch for while using CLENPIQ?

You will need to follow a special diet before your procedure. Talk to your healthcare professional.




Talk to your healthcare professional if you are not able to complete the regimen as prescribed.




Do not use with any other laxatives. Drink clear fluids as directed to prevent dehydration. See your healthcare professional right away if you do not have a bowel movement after using this medicine.

Where should I keep my medicine?

Keep out of the reach of children. Do not share this medicine with anyone.

Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F). Do not refrigerate. Do not freeze. Do not add ice to the solution. Throw away any unused medicine after the day of the colonoscopy. Do not store the solution for later use.
