How should I use CLENPIQ?

Take this medicine by mouth. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Clenpiq is ready to drink. Each dose of Prepopik must be mixed with 150 mL (5 ounces) of cold water before taking the dose. Your doctor will tell you what time to start this medicine. Take exactly as directed. You will need to drink additional clear fluids after each dose. Do not skip a dose or stop your medicine early. Take other oral medicines 2 hours before or 6 hours after this medicine to avoid decreasing their absorption.

You will need to follow a special diet before your procedure. Talk to your doctor. You may drink clear liquids while taking this medicine and up until 2 hours before colonoscopy.

A special MedGuide will be given to you by the pharmacist with each prescription and refill. Be sure to read this information carefully each time.

Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. While this drug may be prescribed for children as young as 9 years of age for selected conditions, precautions do apply.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of CLENPIQ contact a poison control center or emergency room at once. NOTE: CLENPIQ is only for you. Do not share CLENPIQ with others.

What if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
