Clotrimazole Side Effects

Topical clotrimazole is well tolerated by most people. There are no common side effects from topical clotrimazole. However, clotrimazole can sometimes cause an unusual or allergic reaction. Stop using clotrimazole and call your doctor if you develop redness, swelling, stinging, blistering, peeling, itching, burning, hives, or cracks in the skin. Seek emergency medical attention if you develop difficulty breathing or swallowing.
