Pros & Cons
Drysol Pros and Cons
- Drysol (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) works well to control excessive sweating in people with hyperhidrosis.
- You only need to use it once or twice a week once you get initial results.
- Reduced sweating lasts for up to 72 hours after an application of Drysol.
- It comes in various strengths. You can switch to a lower strength if a higher strength irritates your skin.
- While Drysol works well on the underarms, it is not as effective for the hands and feet.
- You can’t use other deodorants or antiperspirants alongside Drysol.
- It can cause irritation if used on broken, irritated, or recently shaved skin.
- Drysol may damage clothing and rub off on bed linen during the night.
