How should I use Aciphex Sprinkle?

Take this medicine by mouth. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Do not swallow whole, crush, or chew the granules. Open the capsule and sprinkle the granules onto a small amount of soft food like apple sauce, fruit or vegetable based baby food, or yogurt. You may also sprinkle them into a small amount of infant formula, apple juice, or a pediatric electrolyte solution. The food or liquid must be at or below room temperature. Swallow the entire mixture. Take the entire dose within 15 minutes of mixing it with food or liquid. Do not save it for later. Take the dose 30 minutes before a meal. Take your medicine at regular intervals. Do not take more often than directed.

Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. While this drug may be prescribed for children as young as 1 year of age for selected conditions, precautions do apply.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of Aciphex Sprinkle contact a poison control center or emergency room at once. NOTE: Aciphex Sprinkle is only for you. Do not share Aciphex Sprinkle with others.

What if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
