How should I take Arimidex?

Take the medication exactly as prescribed. Arimidex comes as a tablet to be taken by mouth. Swallow the tablet with a glass of water. You can take Arimidex with or without food. Take your medication at around the same time every day.

Follow the instructions from your doctor and on the prescription label carefully. Take Arimidex exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of this medicine than prescribed. You may need to take Arimidex for several years. Continue taking the medicine even if you feel well. Don’t stop taking Arimidex before you talk with your doctor.

Missed dose: If you forget to take Arimidex, take the medicine as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and take the next one as scheduled. Do not double up on doses to make up for a missed dose.

Storage: Store Arimidex in the container it came in, tightly closed and away from moisture, heat, and direct light. Keep all over-the-counter and prescription medications out of reach of children and pets.
