Baclofen (Ozobax) tips from pharmacists
Let your healthcare provider know if the current dose of baclofen is not helping your muscle symptoms. Do not increase the dose by yourself.
If you have been taking baclofen for a long time, do not discontinue this medication abruptly. Your physician will taper the dose down slowly to avoid withdrawal symptoms.
Do not drive or operate hazardous machinery that requires muscle tone for safe movement and balance.
Keep a complete list of your medications, including prescription drugs and over-the-counter products, as baclofen can cause breathing problems if being taken with opioid pain medications, anti-anxiety medications, and sleeping pills.
Do not drink alcohol or use illicit drugs, as they can worsen the side effects of baclofen.
If you or your child is taking the liquid form of baclofen, use an oral syringe for the most accurate dosing.
