Benzoyl Peroxide Tips from Pharmacists
Wash your hands after applying benzoyl peroxide to avoid accidental contact with clothes or hair (benzoyl peroxide can bleach them).
Avoid unnecessary sunlight exposure or use of sunlamps or tanning beds. Wear protective clothing and sunscreen to protect your skin.
Stop using the product and tell your doctor if benzoyl peroxide causes severe skin irritation.
Avoid getting benzoyl peroxide into your eyes, nose, or mouth.
Do not be discouraged if your acne doesn’t improve immediately. It can take a few weeks to get the best results from benzoyl peroxide.
