  • Betamethasone dipropionate topical cream and other products can affect hormone levels just like systemic corticosteroids. These systemic effects occur because the medicine can cross the epidermal barrier of the skin and enter the bloodstream.
  • Most betamethasone topical products cannot be used for more than 2 weeks. Prolonged usage increases the risk of serious side effects.
  • You cannot use betamethasone dipropionate topical cream in sensitive areas like the groin and armpits.
