Betamethasone Dipropionate Side Effects
Possible side effects of betamethasone dipropionate are listed below. Call your doctor if these side effects are severe or persistent after a few days.
- Temporary stinging, burning, itching, irritation, redness, or dryness of the skin in the treated area
- Acne
- Changes in skin color (lightening of the skin)
- Bruising
- Thinning of the skin
- Shiny skin
- Stretch marks
- Perioral dermatitis (rash around the mouth)
- Tiny red or white bumps on the skin
- Unwanted hair growth
Some of the adverse effects of betamethasone dipropionate can be more serious. Call your doctor right away and seek emergency treatment if you experience any of the following signs and symptoms:
- Severe skin rash or other signs of allergic reactions
- Oozing, burning, swelling, redness, or other signs of infection in the area treated with betamethasone dipropionate
- Changes in vision, blurred vision

Betamethasone dipropionate Overdose: In case of an overdose, call your doctor immediately. You can also call your local poison control center, provincial poison control center, or the national poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If a person has trouble breathing, cannot be awakened, or has had a seizure, call 911.
