Celebrex Side Effects

Possible side effects of Celebrex are listed below. Call your doctor for medical advice if they are severe or persist after a few days.

  • Bloating or gas
  • Sore throat
  • Cold symptoms
  • Constipation
  • Changes in taste
  • Dizziness

Celebrex can also cause more serious side effects. Tell your doctor right away or seek emergency medical attention if you develop:

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Swelling in the abdomen, lower legs, ankles, or feet
  • Unexplained weight gain
  • Nausea
  • Diarrhea
  • Excessive tiredness
  • Lethargy (low energy)
  • Unusual bleeding or bruising
  • Stomach pain in the right upper abdomen
  • Yellowing of the skin or eyes
  • Itchy skin
  • Loss of appetite
  • Fever or flu-like symptoms
  • Severe allergic reaction (skin rash, hives, itching, blistering)
  • Swelling of the face, eyes, lips, tongue, throat, or hands
  • Hoarseness
  • Difficulty breathing or swallowing
  • Fast heart rate
  • Chest pain
  • Pale skin
  • Back pain
  • Cloudy, bloody, or discolored urine
  • Pain with urination, difficulty urinating, or frequent urination (including nocturia or getting up frequently at night to urinate)

Celebrex Overdose: In case of an overdose of Celebrex, call your doctor immediately. You can also call your local poison control center, provincial poison control center, or the national poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. Call 911 or emergency services if a person has collapsed, cannot breathe, has had a seizure, or cannot be awakened. Signs and symptoms of an overdose may include drowsiness, low energy, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, coffee grounds vomit, blood in stool, black or tarry stool, skin reactions (skin rash, hives, itching), swelling, difficulty breathing, or loss of consciousness.
