What may interact with DELSTRIGO?

Do not take this medicine with any of the following medications:

-any medicine that contains efavirenz, emtricitabine, etravirine, lamivudine, nevirapine, or tenofovir
-apalutamide
-certain antibiotics like rifapentine, rifampin
-enzalutamide
-medicines for seizures like carbamazepine, oxcarbazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, primidone
-mitotane
-St. John''s wort

This medicine may also interact with the following medications:

-aminoglycosides
-medicines for viral infections like adefovir, ledipasvir; sofosbuvir, sofosbuvir; velpatasvir.; sofosbuvir; velpatasvir; voxilaprevir, ribavirin, cidofovir, acyclovir, valacyclovir, ganciclovir, valganciclovir
-NSAIDS, medicines for pain and inflammation, like ibuprofen or naproxen
-other medicines for HIV
-rifabutin
-sorbitol

What should I tell my health care provider before I take DELSTRIGO?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

-bone problems
-kidney disease
-liver disease
-an unusual or allergic reaction to doravirine, lamivudine, tenofovir, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives
-pregnant or trying to get pregnant
-breast-feeding

What should I watch for while using DELSTRIGO?

Visit your doctor or health care professional for regular check ups. Discuss any new symptoms with your doctor. You will need to have important blood work done while on this medicine.

HIV is spread to others through sexual or blood contact. Talk to your doctor about how to stop the spread of HIV.

If you have hepatitis B, talk to your doctor if you plan to stop this medicine. The symptoms of hepatitis B may get worse if you stop this medicine.

You may get drowsy or dizzy. Do not drive, use machinery, or do anything that needs mental alertness until you know how this medicine affects you. Do not stand or sit up quickly, especially if you are an older patient. This reduces the risk of dizzy or fainting spells. Avoid alcohol and mood altering (street) drugs while taking this medicine because they can make these side effects worse.

Where should I keep my medicine?

Keep out of the reach of children.

Store below 20 to 25 degrees C (68 to 77 degrees F). Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.
