Dicyclomine Side Effects
Common side effects of dicyclomine are listed below. Tell your doctor if these side effects are severe or if they do not go away in a few days.
- Dry mouth
- Stomach pain, gas, bloating, vomiting, upset stomach, constipation, loss of appetite
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Drowsiness
- Tingling
- Weakness
- Blurred vision, double vision
- Trouble urinating
Some of the adverse effects of dicyclomine can be more serious. Call your healthcare professional right away or seek emergency medical help if you experience the following signs and symptoms while on dicyclomine:
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing
- Hot, flushed, or dry skin
- Forgetfulness or confusion
- Hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that are not there)
- Excessive tiredness
- Muscle weakness
- Unsteadiness
- Anxiety
- Sleep problems
- Mood changes
- Rapid or pounding heartbeat
- Skin rash, hives, itching
- Fainting

Dicyclomine Overdose: In case of an accidental or intentional overdose of dicyclomine, call your doctor immediately. You can also call the local poison control center or the national poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. Signs and symptoms of a dicyclomine overdose may include dry mouth, hot and dry skin, headache, dizziness, vomiting, upset stomach, blurred vision, dilated pupils, mood changes (nervousness, excitement), and hallucinations.
