Diethylpropion HCl Side Effects
Possible side effects of diethylpropion are listed below. Tell your doctor if they are severe or if they do not go away in a few days.
- Dry mouth
- Bad taste in the mouth
- Dizziness
- Restlessness
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Upset stomach
- Vomiting
- Tremors
- Increased urination
Rarely, diethylpropion can cause more serious side effects. Tell your doctor immediately or seek emergency medical care if you develop:
- Palpitations or a fast, irregular heartbeat
- Blurred vision
- Skin rash, hives, itching
- Chest pain
- Difficulty breathing
- Swelling in the lower legs or ankles
- Fever, chills, sore throat
- Pain with urination
- Fainting

Diethylpropion Overdose: In case of an overdose of diethylpropion, call your doctor immediately. You can also call your local poison control center, provincial poison control center, or the National Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222. If a person cannot be awakened, has trouble breathing, has collapsed, or has had a seizure, call 911.
