Doxazosin (Cardura) Side Effects

Possible side effects of doxazosin are listed below. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects if they are severe or continue after a few days.

• Headache
• Unusual tiredness
• Weight gain
• Swelling of the hands, lower legs, ankles, or feet
• Muscle pain or muscle weakness
• Joint pain
• Runny nose
• Vision changes
• Decreased sexual ability

Rarely doxazosin can cause some very serious side effects. Call your doctor right away or seek immediate medical attention in the emergency room if you develop the following symptoms:

• Skin rash, hives, itching
• Chest discomfort or pain
• Rapid, pounding, or irregular heartbeat
• Shortness of breath or trouble breathing
• Severe ongoing stomach pain
• Painful or prolonged erection

Doxazosin Overdose: In case of an overdose, call your doctor immediately. Call 911 if someone has lost consciousness, collapsed, stopped breathing, or had a seizure. Signs and symptoms of an overdose may include drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and seizures.
