Enalapril (Vasotec) Side Effects

Possible side effects of enalapril are listed below. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects if they are severe or if they do not go away in a few days.

• Cough
• Dizziness
• Weakness
• Headache
• Rash

Some of the adverse reactions of enalapril are more serious. Call your doctor right away or seek emergency medical attention if you experience:

• A severe allergic reaction with sudden swelling of the face, eyes, lips, tongue, throat, hands, lower legs, ankles, or feet
• Trouble breathing
• Chest pain
• Hoarseness
• Lightheadedness
• Fainting
• Flu-like symptoms (fever, sore throat, chills) or other signs of infection
• Severe stomach pain
• Yellowing of the skin or eyes
