How To Use Entresto

Entresto comes as a tablet to be taken by mouth with water twice a day. You can take this medicine with or without food. Take Entresto at around the same time every day. 

If you or your child cannot swallow tablets, ask your pharmacist to make a suspension (liquid). Shake the suspension well before using. You can store the suspension at room temperature. However, you must discard it after 15 days.

Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully and use Entresto exactly as directed by your healthcare professional. Do not use more or less of this medicine or use it more or less frequently than prescribed by your doctor.

Entresto will control your chronic heart failure but will not cure your condition. Continue taking Entresto even if you feel well. Do not stop taking the medicine without talking to your doctor first.

Missed dose: If you forget to take a dose of Entresto, take the medicine as soon as you remember. However, if it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose as scheduled. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

Storage: Store Entresto at room temperature (between 68°F to 77°F or 20°C to 25°C) away from moisture, heat, and direct light in a tightly closed container. Keep all medications out of reach of children and pets

Unused medicine: Throw away any expired or unused Entresto. Do not flush the medicine down the toilet. The best way to dispose of medicines is through your local waste disposal company or a medication take-back program. Learn more about proper medication disposal.
