Entresto Tips from Pharmacists
Taking Entresto with other angiotensin receptor antagonists (ARBs) or within 36 hours of an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor can increase the risk of side effects because these drugs act on the renin-angiotensin system. If you were previously on an ACE inhibitor medicine, wait 36 hours before starting Entresto. Do not take any ACE inhibitors or ARBs while on this medicine.
Entresto can cause you to feel lightheaded and dizzy. Tell your doctor if these symptoms are severe or do not go away after a few days. Arise slowly from a lying or sitting position, rest your feet on the floor for a few minutes, and then stand up to prevent this from occurring.
Entresto is available only in tablet form. If you or your child have problems swallowing tablets, ask your pharmacist to make a liquid suspension of the medicine for you. You can store the suspension for up to 15 days at room temperature.
