Flovent HFA Side Effects

Possible side effects of Flovent HFA (inhaled fluticasone) are listed below. Call your doctor for medical advice if they are severe or last more than a few days.

• Headache
• Hoarseness
• Stuffy nose or runny nose
• Toothache
• Sore throat or throat irritation
• Fever
• Ear infection
• White patches in the mouth

Some of the side effects of Flovent HFA (inhaled fluticasone) can be more serious. Call your doctor right away or seek emergency medical attention if you develop:

• Skin rash, hives, itching (signs of a serious allergic reaction)
• Swelling of the face, eyes, lips, tongue, throat, hands, lower legs, ankles, or feet
• Breathing difficulty or shortness of breath
• Trouble swallowing
• Persistent cough

Flovent HFA Overdose: In case of an overdose of Flovent HFA, call your doctor immediately. You can also call the National Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222. Call 911 if a person has collapsed, cannot breathe, has had a seizure, or cannot be awakened.
