• You can give yourself Follistim AQ injections at home. Make sure you understand the correct way to use the Follistim AQ Cartridge and Follistim pen injector device.

• Your dose of Follistim AQ and the duration of treatment will be individualized based on your response. Follow your healthcare provider’s dosing instructions carefully.

• The Follistim pen can be used indefinitely. The cartridge containing the medicine should be replaced when it’s empty. Use a new needle every time with the Follistim pen injector device. Discard used needles in a sharps container.

• Wash your hands with soap and water before giving yourself a Follistim AQ injection. Clean the injection site with an alcohol swab. Rotate (change) the site to prevent skin reactions.

• Check the liquid in the Follistim pen and make sure it is clear and colorless. Do not inject the medicine if it appears discolored, cloudy, or has visible particles.

• Unused Follistim AQ Cartridges should be stored in the refrigerator. However, you can also store unused cartridges at room temperature for up to 3 months or until the expiration date, whichever is earlier. Once you start using a cartridge, store it at room temperature and discard it after 28 days.

• Seek emergency medical help if you develop symptoms such as shortness of breath, trouble breathing, chest pain or discomfort, sweating, confusion, sudden headache or severe headache, trouble with walking or speech, sudden loss of coordination, sudden numbness, or severe weakness on one side of the body.
