Fosfomycin Tromethamine (Monurol) Side Effects

  • Nausea
  • Diarrhea
  • Runny nose
  • Headache
  • Back pain
  • Vaginal discomfort and itching

Some of the adverse effects of fosfomycin tromethamine are more serious. Call your doctor immediately or seek emergency medical help if you develop symptoms such as:

  • Allergic reaction with skin rash
  • Swelling of the tongue or throat
  • Fever
  • Joint pain
  • Severe dizziness
  • Hearing loss
  • Eye pain
  • Yellowing of the skin or eyes

Call 911 if someone has collapsed, is not responding, has stopped breathing, or has had a seizure.
