Side Effects
What side effects may I notice from receiving Glucagon?
Side effects that you should report to your doctor or health care professional as soon as possible:
-allergic reactions (skin rash, itching or hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue)
-chest pain
-fast, irregular heartbeat
-increase or decrease in blood pressure
-low blood sugar (feeling anxious; confusion; dizziness; increased hunger; unusually weak or tired; increased sweating; shakiness; cold, clammy skin; irritable; headache; blurred vision; fast heartbeat; loss of consciousness)
-redness, blistering, peeling or loosening of the skin, including inside the mouth
-trouble breathing
Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report to your doctor or health care professional if they continue or are bothersome):
-diarrhea
-dizziness
-headache
-nausea, vomiting
-pain, redness, or irritation at site where injected
-stomach pain
