  • The immediate-release oral capsule of indomethacin needs to be taken 3-4 times a day.
  • This medication can increase the risk of stomach and intestinal bleeding, especially with long-term use.
  • Indomethacin may not be safe for people with liver disease, kidney disease, or heart disease. 
  • Indomethacin can increase the risk of blood clots, heart attack, or stroke. This medicine should not be taken by people who have undergone or will undergo coronary artery bypass graft (heart bypass surgery).
