How To Use Jardiance (empagliflozin)

Take Jardiance (empagliflozin) as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. This medicine is to be taken orally (by mouth) once a day in the morning with or without food. 

Follow the directions on your prescription label for the correct empagliflozin dosage and frequency. Take your medicine regularly at around the same time every day. Do not take a higher or lower dose than prescribed, and do not take the medication more or less frequently than prescribed.

Jardiance (empagliflozin) will help control your blood sugar levels but will not cure your condition. Continue taking the medicine even if you feel well. Do not stop taking empagliflozin without talking to your healthcare professional.

Missed dose: If you forget to take a dose of Jardiance (empagliflozin), take the medicine as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your next dose at the regular time. Do not take an extra dose to make up for a missed dose.

Storage: Store Jardiance (empagliflozin) at room temperature (between 15-30° C or 59-86° F) away from moisture, heat, and direct light in a tightly closed container. Keep all medications out of reach of children and pets.
