Ketorolac Tips from Pharmacists

  • To reduce the risk of ocular infections, wash your hands before instilling ketorolac. Do not touch the dropper tip to your eye, skin, or anything else.

  • Follow the instructions from your health care professional carefully. Do not use ketorolac ophthalmic solution for more than 2 weeks after cataract removal or more than 4 days after cornea surgery unless your doctor tells you. Use only the number of drops prescribed.

  • You should not wear soft contact lenses while using ketorolac ophthalmic.

  • Talk to your healthcare providers about the safety of using ketorolac ophthalmic during pregnancy. This medicine may cause harm to the unborn baby if used during late pregnancy.

  • Call your doctor immediately or seek emergency medical attention if you develop an allergic reaction. Signs and symptoms of allergic reactions include difficulty breathing or swallowing, hives, rash, itching, and swelling.
