Your doctor will gradually increase your dose of lamotrigine with dose changes every week. Use the starter kit provided to stay on track.
Call your doctor immediately if you develop a severe skin rash, painful blisters, blistering, or peeling.
Do not stop taking lamotrigine suddenly. Your doctor will tell you how to reduce the dose slowly.
Tell your doctor you are on lamotrigine before taking any new antiepileptic drugs. Interactions between these medications can increase the risk of severe drug reactions.
