- You only need to inject Lantus once daily.
- It comes as a vial and prefilled pen.
- Lantus is approved for use in adult and pediatric patients with type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes.
- You need to inject insulin subcutaneously (under the skin).
- There is a risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) with insulin therapies.
- You cannot mix Lantus with other insulins in the same syringe.
