Librax (Chlordiazepoxide-Clidinium) Side Effects

Possible side effects of Librax are listed below. Call your doctor for medical advice if the side effects are severe or persist after a few days.

  • Unusual tiredness or weakness
  • Mood changes such as anger or unusual excitement
  • Nausea
  • Constipation
  • Dry mouth
  • Blurred vision
  • Urinary difficulties
  • Changes in sex drive or decreased sexual ability
  • Minor menstrual irregularities or irregular menstrual periods
  • Difficulties with balance or muscle movement
  • Confusion

Some of the adverse reactions reported after Librax use are more serious. Call your doctor right away or seek emergency medical attention if you develop the following severe adverse reactions:

  • Skin rash, hives, itching
  • Swelling of the arms, hands, lower legs, ankles, or feet
  • Difficulty breathing or swallowing
  • Yellowing of the skin or eyes
  • Shuffling walk
  • Slow speech or speech difficulties
  • Fine tremor, unusual muscle movements, or inability to sit still

The above list may not include all the adverse effects reported with the use of Librax. Contact your healthcare provider if your side effects are unusual or if you have any sudden and severe changes in symptoms. You can also report suspected adverse reactions to the Food and Drug Administration at 1-800-FDA-1088.

Librax Overdose: In case of an overdose, call your doctor immediately. You can also call your local poison control center, provincial poison control center, or the national poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If someone has lost consciousness, collapsed, stopped breathing, or had a seizure, call 911. A Librax overdose may cause the following adverse reactions: Severe drowsiness, dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, urinary hesitancy, confusion, slow reflexes, and coma.
