Librax (Chlordiazepoxide-Clidinium) Uses
Librax is used to treat gastrointestinal conditions such as peptic ulcers (sores in the lining of the stomach and intestines due to excess stomach acid), irritable bowel syndrome (a condition associated with stomach pain, bloating, diarrhea, and constipation), and enterocolitis (inflammation in the intestines).

Librax (Chlordiazepoxide-Clidinium) Mechanism of Action
The chlordiazepoxide in Librax works by decreasing abnormal brain activity, and the clidinium works by decreasing spasms and cramps in the stomach.
Librax (Chlordiazepoxide-Clidinium) Doses
Librax is available in 5 mg / 2.5 mg capsule form. Each capsule contains 5 mg of chlordiazepoxide and 2.5 mg of clidinium. The usual maintenance dose is decided on an individual basis and depends on the condition being treated and your response to the medicine. The usual dose is 1-2 capsules 3-4 times a day, taken 30-60 minutes before meals (on an empty stomach) and at bedtime.
