Methocarbamol Adverse Effects

Possible side effects of methocarbamol are listed below. Tell your doctor if they are severe or do not go away after a few days.

  • Drowsiness
  • Dizziness
  • Blurred vision or double vision
  • Nausea
  • Upset stomach
  • Fever
  • Discolored urine (blue, black, or greenish urine)
  • Injection site pain (with IM or IV infusion)

Other side effects of methocarbamol can be more serious. Call your doctor right away if you experience signs and symptoms of allergic reactions such as rash or itching.

Methocarbamol Overdose: In case of a known or suspected overdose, immediately call your doctor or the local poison control center. If the person can’t be awakened, has had a seizure, or has trouble breathing, call 911. Methocarbamol overdose frequently occurs when the medication is taken with alcohol or other CNS depressants. Overdose symptoms may include drowsiness, blurred vision, nausea, low blood pressure, slow heartbeats, seizures, and coma.
