Moxifloxacin (Vigamox) Side Effects
Possible side effects of moxifloxacin are listed below. Tell your doctor if these side effects are severe or do not go away.
- Temporary eye irritation (redness, burning, itching, stinging, or tearing)
- Eye pain
- Dry eyes
- Blurred vision
- Breaking of blood vessels in the eye
- Cough
- Runny nose
Moxifloxacin ophthalmic can also cause some very serious side effects. Call your doctor for medical advice or get emergency medical help if you develop the following serious symptoms:
- Signs of infection such as sore throat, fever, chills
- Ear pain or fullness in the ears
- Rash or allergic reaction
- Swelling of the eyes, face, lips, throat, hands, lower legs, ankles, feet
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing

You can also report unusual side effects to the Food and Drug Administration at 1-800-FDA-1088.
Moxifloxacin Overdose: In case of an overdose, call your doctor immediately. You can also call your local poison control center, provincial poison control center, or the national poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If a person cannot be awakened, has trouble breathing, has collapsed, or has had a seizure, call 911.
