Mydayis Uses

Mydayis is a prescription stimulant medication that is used to treat ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) in adults and children 13 years of age and older. It helps to control ADHD symptoms such as hyperactivity, impulsivity, and problems paying attention. Healthcare professionals prescribe ADHD medicines as part of a total treatment program that includes behavior therapy, social skills training, training for parents, and educational support.

The immediate-release formulation of amphetamine dextroamphetamine (Adderall) is also used to treat narcolepsy, a sleep disorder characterized by sudden sleep attacks and excessive daytime sleepiness.

There may be other uses of Mydayis—your doctor or health system pharmacists can give you further drug information.

Mydayis Mechanism of Action

Mydayis works by changing the levels of certain natural substances in the brain (norepinephrine and dopamine) that regulate attention and concentration. Research suggests that changes in the amounts of these natural chemicals cause ADHD symptoms.
