- It contains two antibiotics that kill bacteria and a steroid that suppresses the inflammatory response.
- There is usually a noticeable improvement in symptoms after 1-2 days of using this topical eye medicine.
- It is available as a lower-cost generic.
- You need to use this eye medicine multiple times a day.
- It can cause temporary blurred vision and eye irritation.
- Neomycin, polymyxin B, and dexamethasone are only effective against bacterial infections. This combination will not treat a viral or fungal eye infection.
- Long-term use (more than 10 days) can increase the risk of glaucoma and requires regular eye checks to measure intraocular pressure.
