NP Thyroid Side Effects
Possible side effects of NP Thyroid are listed below. Tell your doctor if these side effects are severe or do not go away in a few days.
- Weight loss
- Uncontrolled shaking
- Headache
- Stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
- Mood changes such as irritability or anxiety
- Hyperactivity
- Insomnia
- Fever
- Flushing
- Muscle weakness
- Increased appetite
- Changes in menstrual cycle
- Transient hair loss in children during the first few months of treatment
Less commonly, NP Thyroid can cause more serious side effects. Call your doctor immediately or seek emergency medical attention if you develop these signs and symptoms:
- Skin rash
- Difficulty breathing
- Chest pain
- Irregular heartbeat
- Swelling of the hands, lower legs, ankles, or feet
- Excessive sweating
- Heat intolerance
- Nervousness
- Seizures

NP Thyroid Overdose: In case of an overdose, contact your doctor immediately. You can also call the National Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222. If a person cannot be awakened, has trouble breathing, has collapsed, or has had a seizure, call 911.
