What may interact with OLUMIANT?


-azathioprine
-biologic medicines such as abatacept, adalimumab, anakinra, certolizumab, etanercept, golimumab, infliximab, ofatumumab, rituximab, sarilumab, secukinumab, tocilizumab, ustekinumab
-cyclosporine
-live vaccines
-medicines that lower your chance of fighting infection
-probenecid

What should I tell my health care provider before I take OLUMIANT?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

-cancer
-diabetes
-high cholesterol
-history of blood clots
-HIV or AIDs
-immune system problems
-infection (especially a virus infection such as chickenpox, cold sores, hepatitis B or herpes)
-kidney disease
-liver disease
-lung or breathing disease, like asthma
-low blood counts, like low white cell, platelet, or red cell counts
-organ transplant
-tuberculosis
-stomach or intestine problems
-an unusual or allergic reaction to baricitinib, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives
-pregnant or trying to get pregnant
-breast-feeding

What should I watch for while using OLUMIANT?

Visit your health care professional for regular checks on your progress. Tell your health care professional if your symptoms do not start to get better or if they get worse. You may need blood work done while you are taking this medicine.

Avoid taking products that contain aspirin, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, naproxen, or ketoprofen unless instructed by your doctor. These medicines may hide a fever.

Call your doctor or health care professional for advice if you get a fever, chills or sore throat, or other symptoms of a cold or flu. Do not treat yourself. This drug decreases your body''s ability to fight infections. Try to avoid being around people who are sick. Call your health care professional if you are around anyone with measles, chickenpox, or if you develop sores or blisters that do not heal properly.

Women should inform their health care professional if they wish to become pregnant or think they might be pregnant. There is a potential for serious side effects to an unborn child. Talk to your health care professional for more information.

Do not breast-feed an infant while taking this medicine.

Talk to your health care professional about your risk of cancer. You may be at risk for certain types of cancers if you take this medicine.

Where should I keep my medicine?

Keep out of the reach of children.

Store between 20 and 25 degrees C (68 and 77 degrees F). Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.
