Omega-3 Fatty Acids (Lovaza) Side Effects

Possible side effects of omega-3 fatty acids are listed below. Call your doctor for medical advice if these side effects are severe or do not go away in a few days.

  • Stomach pain
  • Heartburn
  • Burping
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Constipation
  • Altered taste
  • Joint pain

Rarely, omega-3 fatty acids can cause more serious adverse effects. Call your doctor right away or seek emergency medical help if you experience any unusual or severe symptoms.
