Oxymetazoline (Rhofade) Tips from Pharmacists
You can use oxymetazoline on your entire face (forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin), but do not use it in your mouth, eyes, or vagina, as this can cause skin irritation.
Do not use oxymetazoline cream on open wounds or irritated skin, as this can worsen the skin inflammation.
Prime the pump before use by pressing it down 3 times. This ensures that the pump releases the correct amount of medicine.
Wash your hands after applying oxymetazoline to avoid irritating the skin of your hands.
Store oxymetazoline safely out of reach of children to prevent serious adverse effects. If a child accidentally swallows this medicine, get emergency medical help.
