Phendimetrazine Tartrate Side Effects
Possible side effects of phendimetrazine tartrate are listed below. Tell your doctor if these side effects are severe or do not go away in a few days.
- Elevation in blood pressure, palpitations, fast heart rate
- Central nervous system stimulation (restlessness, agitation, insomnia, tremor, sweating, dizziness, headache, blurred vision)
- Gastrointestinal symptoms like dry mouth, stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, constipation
- Urinary frequency, pain with urination
- Changes in libido (sex drive)
Rarely, phendimetrazine tartrate can cause very serious side effects. Tell your doctor immediately or seek emergency medical care if you develop the following serious side effects:
- Skin rash, hives, itching (signs of allergic reactions)
- Chest pain
- Shortness of breath
- Fainting
- Swelling in the legs

If a person cannot be awakened, has trouble breathing, has collapsed, or has had a seizure, call 911.
