How To Use Plan B One-Step
Plan B One-Step is a tablet to take by mouth up to 72 hours after unprotected sex. The sooner you take the emergency contraceptive the more effective it is. If you vomit within 2 hours of taking the pill, call your healthcare provider - you may need to repeat the dose.
Read the prescription label or patient information leaflet carefully and take Plan B One-Step exactly as directed. Do not repeat the dose without consulting a healthcare provider.
Do not use Plan B One-Step instead of your regular method of contraception. This emergency contraceptive does not lower the ability to get pregnant in the future. Continue using your regular birth control method or start it soon after taking Plan B One-Step.
Missed dose: Plan B One-Step is emergency contraception that is taken as needed to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sexual intercourse.
