Prednisolone Sodium Phosphate Mechanism of Action

In people with low cortisol hormone levels, prednisolone sodium phosphate replaces the steroid hormone naturally produced by the adrenal glands in the body. This drug helps in the management of inflammatory conditions through its suppressive effects on the immune system.

Prednisolone Sodium Phosphate Doses

Prednisolone sodium phosphate is available as a tablet, orally disintegrating tablet, oral solution, and oral suspension to take by mouth. The usual starting dose ranges between 10 mg to 60 mg of prednisolone, depending on the severity of the condition being treated. The maintenance dose is the lowest dose that can control symptoms.
