Pregabalin (Lyrica) Side Effects
Possible side effects of pregabalin are listed below. Tell your doctor if these side effects are severe or do not go away in a few days.
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Tiredness
- Dry mouth
- Gastrointestinal side effects like nausea, vomiting, constipation, gas, bloating
- Feeling “high”
- Speech problems
- Difficulty concentrating, forgetfulness
- Balance or coordination problems
- Anxiety
- Uncontrolled shaking
- Muscle twitching
- Back pain
- Increased appetite, weight gain
Rarely, pregabalin can cause more serious side effects. Seek immediate medical help if you have the following signs and symptoms:
- Blurred vision, double vision, or any changes in vision
- Hives, rash, itching, blisters
- Serious allergic reactions with swelling of the face, eyes, throat, tongue, mouth, or lips
- Swelling of the arms, hands, lower legs, ankles, or feet
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing
- Chest pain
- Bluish tinge to the skin, lips, or fingernails
- Wheezing, shortness of breath
- Extreme sleepiness
- Unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, fever

Pregabalin Overdose: In case of an accidental or intentional overdose of pregabalin, contact your doctor immediately. You can also call the national poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If a person cannot be awakened, has trouble breathing, has collapsed, or has had a seizure, call 911.
